Extra Pale Ale with Orange Peel and Natural Flavors
Orange X is a fresh new take on our classic extra pale ale. We combined the crisp, light balance and generous hop profile of X - Extra Pale Ale with the bright, juicy citrus character of orange in a tasting room exclusive here in San Diego. The positive response was so overwhelming that we decided to trust in our fans by putting it into cans. Orange X for the people!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: pale yellow color with a quickly dissipating head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: orangey sweetness - somewhat like candy, some bready malts
Flavor: blends those aromas to the sweet side; finishes orangey candy sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness
Overall: odd beer, I mean, well, it's very orange candy-like so the sweetness is pretty excessive

Can from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is strong orange peel, citrus, hops, Fanta, orange candy. Flavour is mild sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Refreshing, but a bit artificial.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Clear orange colour, white head. Weird aroma of orange peel and over-ripe citrus fruits. Dry and refreshing flavour, notes of orange peel and piney hops.

Tons of orange--could be all peel and oil, nice light mouthfeel.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours deep gold, fairly hazy, with white foam, very fine. Aroma is intensely citrus, recalling Chinese mandarin. Body is kind of light with average carbonation. Taste is consistent with aroma, moderately sweet, with a bit of bitterness. Finish is just a little longer than usual.

Can at Alt+Tap, Bangkok. Poured a hazy orange golden colour with a long lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is orange citrus, malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a fresh crisp, fruity, dry light tart, light woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Ok, but the lingering bitterness in the finish wasn’t overly pleasant. If you are going to choose a citrus fruit to base a beer on it should not be orange IMO.
