Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear ruby body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of burnt sugar, rust and berries. Flavour of caramel and light spice. Thin body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. Well balanced with a nice sweet edge.

20/2/2021. Bottle shared at the third Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. Suffolk vs Norfolk. From Norfolk Lavender. Pours clear ruby amber with a nice size creamy off-white head. Good looking pour. Aroma of toffee, roasted malt, touch of spice, liquorice, ginger biscuit, brown bread, touch of berry and nut. Moderate sweetness and an earthy bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Good complexity, enjoyed this.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep ruby to brown. Nice off white head. Nose - toffee to molasses. Red fruit possibly cherry. Taste - molasses confirmed. Cherries to redcurrants. Palate - medium bodied. Crunchy texture. Dry, crunchy finish. Overall - good example of the style.
