On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep black with red chinks. Nice fawn head. A bit crema like. Nose - molasses and charcoal. Cola maybe. Taste - cola confirmed with liquorice and smoke again. Palate - medium bodied and crunchy through middle and finish. Avoids being astringent though. Overall - I'm struggling to call this a sweet stout. If anything it's dry. But it's definitely the best I've has from these guys.

Cask at PoW. It pours dark brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, festive spice, clove rock, cola cubes, toasty, rocky road and milk chocolate. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, milk chocolate, maltesers, festive spice, clove, cola cubes, toasty malt, charred action and chewy malt with drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent festive fayre.
