Big barleywine boiled for over 2 and half hours to give toffee and caramel notes. Hopped with English hops and fermented with a blend of London III and Burlington yeast.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - a murky amber brown. Thin head. Nose - honey and marmalade. Taste - luscious marmalade this time. Light wood and hay at the back. Palate - luscious in body and texture but still nice cleaning bitterness. Overall - lovely.

Keg at Doghouse. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, toffee, leather, sticky toffee pudding, raisin, boozy, fruit cake and butterscotch. The taste is bitter - sweet, touch of dryness, slick, toasted brown sugar, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, brown bread, warming alcohol, sticky toffee pudding and wood with a drying finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Big and punchy, but a bitt too sweet for my liking. Fun anyhow.
