Using Medlars foraged by Norfolks very own Medlar champions, Eastgate Larder, The Wild Medlar is a beer that is never the same twice. This year we launch vs4, a beer that is rich in depth and character.
The Medlars are an interesting but ugly fruit, with a sweet but acidic toffee apple flavour. This transforms the beer into a tart, fruity and almost cider like drink, which has elements of a whisky barrel finish, perfect for a sunny afternoon but equally at home as a winter warmer.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a lively head. Nose - sour berry, a little and something slightly poopy. Taste - fresh sour berries this time. Again a bit earthy but cleaner than the nose. Palate - tangy, while a little creamy too. Dry, tangy finish. Overall - quite good after a poor start.
