On keg at the Bow Bar. Appearance - deep brown to black with some orange chinks on the periphery. Nose - roast, smoke, dark chocolate and there is something tangy that is reminiscent of balsamic. Taste - dark chocolate, liquorice and crunchy roast noted. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Good length and dry crunchy finish. Overall - good if not special.

Black beer, beige head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate. Taste has the same but if you have a proper swirl of it you do get a bit of a woody, vinegary flavour to make it a bit different. But it's not a weird addition, it works.

Keg at the London Brewers Market. Pours brown with a creamy, khaki head. Soft toasted malts in the nose with accents of berries. Light sweet flavour with mellow berry tang, mild roast, some earth, cocoa. Light bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with ashy dryness, more dried berries. Not bad. Interesting.

Bottle from The Very Last London Drinker Beer & Cider Festival. Pours almost black with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, moderate roasted malt, dark fruits and balsamic vinegar. Medium sweetness and light bitterness, with light sour vinegar edge. Medium body, average to soft carbonation. My first balsamic vinegar infused beer and it really worked.
