Pours a copper from a tap, sweet malty aroma and flavor. Nice faint fruity esters. Pretty good beer.

Can. Pours a dark copper/amber color with a big clumpy off-white head that has decent retention. The aroma is light with sweet grains, corn and some breads. The taste is caramel malts, breads, grains and some lightly bitter noble hops. The palate is medium-full and malty. Finishes short and dry. Overall: OK brew but nothing to get excited about. Perhaps its better on tap.

Pounder can. Smells a little sweet and boozy. Orange yellow haze. Pretty straight up initially. Decent octo beer with even a tad of tartness. Lacks many of the ill manners I've come across with these fest beers. Its actually well behaved and easy to take. Even gets a little more tasty with its good carbonation and all. One of the more enjoyable fest beers I've had in a while. Right up there with finer marzens like Climax Hoffmann, Hacker-Pschorr, Voodoo James Brown, Assawoman Bay MD, Sprague Spraguer Logger, Schell, Stoudts & Maize Valley.

Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma of butter. Taste has Caramel. Palate has a cedar note on the nose, malty. Wild interpretation of the style.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a honey copper color with a huge creamy orange white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with bread dough, light caramel and phenol. The flavor was tangy and sweet with perfume and phenol. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

Pours hazed gold into a stein. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Caramel aromas. Soft with sweet candy corn and toffee upfront turning to mild dry earth in the medium length finish.
