Helles (meaning light) is a traditional German style pale golden lager. Pronounced yet delicate cereal, malt and honey aroma. Light/medium body with elegant malt roundness. The slight sweetness permeates with just a hint of hop spiciness. Clean and crisp, this is a refreshing beer with substance. The perfect lager for the colder seasons.

Keg at Mill Hill Cask and Coffee, Enderby. Deep, mid-to dark gold, slightly hazy with a ring of white head. Slightly smoky aroma, lots of malt, a little bit metallic. Smoky taste with some chewy yeast. Lots of flavour but there's a very short finish. A wisp of astringency in the fleeting aftertaste. A little bit homebrew-y but none the worse for it.

Tried at the Hop & Barley, Lincoln. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma malty and floral. Taste light sweet. Nice
