Light Amber, this English IPA is not as strong as its American cousin, but it’s full to the brim with flavour. Herbal, spicy and blackcurrant notes balance with the amber and crystal malt for sweet biscuit characters. A sublime bitterness, soft and balanced, Heathcliff is as heroic as its namesake.

Cask hand pull at the Microbar Manchester. A deep coloured pour with a lasting creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet toffee, nutty malts, light grassy hop, raisin. Flavour is composed of of decent layers of malts, toffee, nutty, raisin bread, little dried berry hop,. Palate is medium sweet, medium bodied, little warm, good cask condition. Decent esb.

Cask-conditioned at No.1 Harbourside, Bristol 14/3/2017. Amber in colour, with a decently sized, off-white, head. A sweet bitter, with hedgerow fruits, caramel, some slightly bready malts and moderately bitter finish. Fine.
