A refreshing light golden hoppy brew with a distinct citrus note in its flavour. It exhibits a mellow malt sweetness which is finely balanced against a pronounced hop bitterness imparted by the use of Challenger, Cardinal and Cascade. The beer is dry hopped pre-fermentation with Cardinal. Surprisingly easy to drink, Lord Minimus has the moreishness expected of the Grainstore Brewery’s range of beers.

Gravity cask at the Drayman’s Son, Ely. Very light gold with a bit of a spotty head. Modest grainy, grassy scent with a metallic note. Taste is bittersweet with a touch of citrus; the finish is far more bitter and turns noticeably astringent near the end. A suggestion of nectarine in the aftertaste. It’s drinkable but not particularly interesting or tasty.
