Ingredients: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Brown malts, roasted barley; Summit hops; chipotle; Wyeast 1056 yeast; water.

For this brew we have teamed up with the leading Mexican food restaurant in Vilnius – Soda de Pancho. Our goal was a spicy porter. But not just porter. We wanted it to be as thick as syrup with some hints of smoke from chipotle and of course a bit of spiciness showing up in the aftertaste. The result is Pancho. Roasty, thick and warming beer that goes well with your chilli con carne.

Post-BBD Smell- weak to medium, malt, roast, cofee. Foam- roast, malt, bitter. Head is tiny, dark brown color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label. From- snifter Taste - malt, roast, cofee, some spice. Rather bitter and roasty, nothing special. Some alco in back. No thanks. After some time, spice accumulates a bit more.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een crème schuim. Het heeft een moutige kruidige geur. De smaak is kruidig, caramel en vanille achtig.

BOTTLE. Really dark brown, huge espresso head. Sweet spicy aroma, something like cinnamon or tonka beans. The taste is similar medium sweet and chocolaty spicy, just a little chilli heat. Over carbonated. Really nice and smooth sweetness.

Bottle at home thanks to Euro swap from remALUS. Black with huge chocolate mousse head, this is hard to pour, there’s a lot of carbonation in here. Deep dark looks though. Deep roast, licorice, cola, ash, dark chocolate, smoke, quite some dried fruits (blackberries, plums, those brown organic dried apricots), toffee, sweet malts, light ginger and other spices. The three main things here are thick roast, cola and fruits. Medium sweet, over medium roast bitter. Over medium bodied with a lot of fizzy carbonation. A very light chili heat in the finish. Seriously overcarbonated, but otherwise a very nice beer.
