3/3/2023. Cask at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Good looking beer. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, dark fruits. Light sweetness, quite heavy roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Heavy roasted bitterness. Enjoyable roasty goodness.

Handpull cask at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Dark brown, almost opaque, with a tan head. Ash, liquorice, bitter chocolate... more liquorice. Sweet and slightly herbal taste padded out by roasted malt. Heavy blackberry notes in the aftertaste. Not bad, but missing something to make it a great stout.

Bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Black colour with a tan head. Taste and aroma are roasted with a touch of toffee. Decent stout.
