Keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Dark brown but not quite black and precious little head. Overwhelming aroma of milky coffee but not quite so much smoke. There's more smokiness in the taste, more savoury than acrid, with a sharp bitter finish belying the sweetness of the initial sip. Carbonation is low, adding to the syrupy feel of the body. Not TBM's best beer but it's up there well enough. A joy and a privilege to drink.

Triued at the 2016 Peterborough Beer Festival. Black colour with a tan head. Big roasted malty aroma with burnt coffee. Taste mid sweet. Thick body
