This copper coloured ale is a lovely balance of chocolate malt and WGV hops giving this best bitter an all-round appeal.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Reddish amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Malty, slightly earthy aroma with red fruit and hint of caramel. Flavour of sweetish malts and berry fruit, with along bitter finish. Good.

Cask gravity at Kent BF 07. Red to deep russet, bubbly off white head. Decent choccy, red/black fruity malts. Very good beer, lovely deep malts. I’m impressed. Very drinkable.
