Brewing an American IPA, but with a Belgian twist...that's the idea behind Amer-Amer. We chose two American varieties of hops, but only use whole hop flowers cultivated in Belgium.
Taste: The 'Belgo-American' hops have a better balance in flavour and a less aggressive bitterness, without losing taste or intensity. Dry hopping with Cascade enforces the beer's rich aroma.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of passionfruit, lemons, hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of passion fruits, lemons, hops, spices, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Ambrata scarica/dorata carica, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di malto, resina, frutta matura, leggermente pepata e floreale. In bocca è dolce, maltata, con chiusura amara medio-leggera. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Un po' anonima.

Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet, Grez Doiceau, Belgium at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 16th April 2020, yet again weather is glorious!, however we are now into day 29 of CORVID-19 enforced lockdown, we've got great Chilli from our Mexican cookbook, listening to Craig Charles on 6Music who is now on during the week covering during the CORVID-19 lockdown. Pours a hazy dark gold edging towards amber in colour with a white head. Aroma is typically Belgian but more accurately it's citrus, maybe some marmalade. Taste is fruity, citrus, quite dry throughout, some grassiness, really refreshing, very good beer.

Bottle from Firkin Alehouse Folkestone and drunk at home. Deep amber orange colour lasting white head. Fragrant hoppy aroma. Slight esters on aroma. More esters as you drink it. Then it's a Belgian IPA. But quite a light one. Really pretty good. Grapefruit peach esters. Good bitterness. Fruity IPA. Yep I liked it.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a hazy deep golden/orange colour with a medium sized foamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, floral, spice and herbs.Taste has more of the same notes as the aroma with more pronounced citrus and added orange zest and grapefruit. Light to medium bodied, very slightly oily mouthfeel and a long hoppy bitter citrus finish. it’s a nice refreshing summery beer. Edit: Re-tasting on 05/12/22. Same aroma and tasting notes but I have upped the rating this time from 3.3 to 3.8. Enjoyed much more this time around. The beer has a very nice smooth mouthfeel. I will be visiting this one again some time in the future.
