Double Barrel Aged Iced Barleywine comes in at an astounding 20%! To create this beast, we brewed a full-bodied barleywine and aged it for a year in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. Then we harnessed the powers of our frigid Wisconsin winters by setting the filled whisky barrels outside to concentrate that barleywine goodness. It was then transferred into new Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels to age and mellow for an additional 18 months! What that means is you get some well-conditioned barleywine dripping with flavors of caramel and bourbon.

Tap. Hazy ruby-ish color with beige head. Aroma is strong raisins, caramel, intense prunes. Taste is the same, with a very strong booze burn, but it kinda works. Oily mouthfeel, mildly mineral bite, surprisingly, enough carbonation. If this was properly freeze-distilled, it should count as Eisbock, shouldn't it?

FLA, I loved this dangerous dangerous 650ml of ice barleywine. The world needs more ice barleywine! Nice caramel upfront and then lingering heat heat. I need this again but like 8oz can pls.

Tap at MBCC 2021, Copenhagen. Color is slightly cloudy Copper with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Bourbon/Whiskey, caramel, ripe fruits, some sweetness and malts. Heavy and little bit of unbalanced.

650ml bottle @ Pien Shop, Helsinki. Heavy, sweet and warming with alcohol, loads of barrel notes, whisky, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, syrup, brandy and dried fruits, prunes and raisin. Pretty soft, not as aggressive as I thought. Complex slow sipper.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a slightly cloudy earthy amber brown with a near white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has lots of slightly sweet bread with notes of caramel, barrel and toffee supporting. Flavor has lots of bread and toffee with barrel and a hint of caramel backing.

22oz bottle pours out cola brown topped with a small ring of a head. Nose is heat once you get past the heat then its pitfruit big rich malts and heavy bourbon barrel booze. Taste is more of the big booze bourbon pitfruit heavy malts.
