Double Barrel Aged Iced Barleywine comes in at an astounding 20%! To create this beast, we brewed a full-bodied barleywine and aged it for a year in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. Then we harnessed the powers of our frigid Wisconsin winters by setting the filled whisky barrels outside to concentrate that barleywine goodness. It was then transferred into new Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels to age and mellow for an additional 18 months! What that means is you get some well-conditioned barleywine dripping with flavors of caramel and bourbon.

Bottle thanks to Phil. Pours a dark brown with no head. The aroma is strong raisin, caramel, whiskey, wood. Slick body, whiskey, smoke, caramel, dry finish, very nice.

12oz can at share. Wow. A big malt monster, dripping with whiskey and ABV. Probably sweet, but it brings a lot of heat, dark malt, pit fruit, leathery notes. A real punch in the face.

Leathery, barrel forward, not as boozy as expected but still hot. Maybe with some time it'll mellow?

Bourbon dominuje aromat. Owocki, karmel, kandyzowanie, tofi - w tle. W uscie w cholere gestego ciala, ryli gesto. Niemalo alko, na tyle, ze przeszkadza mimo, ze szlachetny. Usto > aromat. Ale jakbym burbon pil. Niemoje. A, i gruszki czuje :)))
