A second colab (after Demode) between us and the Łańcut Brewery, a beer brewed in an extremely demanding and niche style.
Similarly to our Grodziskie beer, we used malts that have been smoked using oak tree smoke. Rauchdoppelbock boasts an intense, smokey smell and aromas of bread and cookies with a hint of caramel. Solid body, full taste and a decent amount of alcohol guarantee zero boredom.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with wonderful, ruby coruscation and average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing beige head. Sweet-ish, smoky, minimally ashy, malty aroma, notes of smoked oak and beech wood, smoked ham, a touch of smoked eel and toasted bread. Taste is smoky malty, minimally fruity, notes of smoked oak and beech wood, smoked ham, a touch of plum, bacon-wrapped plum, earthy honey, some fig as well. Oily texture, super-soft, smooth, silky palate, soft to flat carbonation; lingering, slightly cloying, caramel malty and smoky finish. Wow! This is almost on Schlenkerla level concerning smokiness, reminds of Gänstaller concerning carbonation, the fruit and honey parts are quite original. Excellent beer!

Butelka 0.5l (BB 09.04.2022). Uderzenie wędzonki bezpośrednio po otworzeniu butelki genialne, szyneczka w płynie choć są też akcenty dymione. I choć nuta ta z upływem czasu traci na intensywności i tak jest wyczuwalna. W smaku wędzonka nie jest tak agresywna i daje dojść do głosu nutom koźlakowym, to pozostawia przyjemny, długi posmak i drapanie w gardle. Konsystencja, gładka, leciutko słodka, słodowa, świetny balans, lekkość w odbiorze choć ciało jest wyczuwalne. Jednym słowem genialne!

Rubinowo-miedziana barwa, w miarę klarowne. W aromacie wędzonka ogniskowa oraz delikatna zbożowość. W smaku również mocno wędzone, ogniskowe, gęste, lekko oleiste, goryczka na niskim poziomie, alkohol minimalnie wyczuwalny, nasycenie w sam raz.
