Gose is a light, wheat beer, with a salty and sour taste. It was born in Lower Saxony and became almost extinct in the 20th century. It wasn’t until early 2000s that thanks to small German breweries this style was brought back to life. Historically, it is a spontaneously top-fermented beer, which means that it is exposed to the surrounding open air to allow wild yeast and bacteria to ferment it.

Legend has it that the distinctive salty flavour comes from the Gose river in the town of Goslar.

We decided to go one step further and mix the classic Gose with mango and passion fruit purees. The outcome: exceptionally refreshing, perfectly balanced drink. A fruity, sour, salty aroma bomb!

Note: Gose’s moderate acidity is perfect for those who are at the beginning of their adventure with sour beers.

Do try our second sour beer: Imperial Berliner Weisse and Sour Ale.
