440ml Can from Tesco in Amersham, Bucks. A black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee, dark fruit, caramel aroma and taste with a pleasing bitterness. Excellent effort from Buxton and available in Tesco.

Can at home om Deetz Chatz, from Tesco clicketh and collecteth, 19/06/20. Pitch black with a decent tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is roast malts, charr, liquorice, spice, burnt toffee, cacao beans, raisins. Taste comprises molasses, bitter roast, charr, earthy, dusty cocoa, liquorice, light black peppery spice, dried fruits. Medium bodied with bite, fine to lightly prickly carbonation with a drying close. Solid impy stout … well balanced … robust and a decent but not overwhelming boost offered at the curtain call.

Can at home picked up from Tesco. A jet black / brown coloured pour with a tidy dark tan head. Aroma is big rich earthy roast, liquorice burnt toast, ash, burnt. Flavour is composed of huge rich layered roast, burnt cake end, dried fruits, ashy roast, liquorice, burnt caramel. Palate is thick, semi sweet, sticky, fine carbonation. Very rich and moreish. Nice lingering spice, rum barrel like .
