Oak Barrel-Aged American Sour Ale with Limes, Graham Cracker Flavor, Vanilla, Milk Sugar

Fresh outta the oven— we’re back with batch 2 of our key lime pie-inspired American sour ale, this time blended in with 3 casks of Buffalo Trace barrel-aged wheat-wine ale. After aging in oak barrels for a rich complexity, we added limes, Graham crackers, milk sugar, and vanilla to emulate the creamy, bright, tart notes of the meringue-y dessert.

Lt. Zesty, tart and sweetish with loads of key lime pie notes, vanilla, lactic sourness and earthiness. Sweet and sour.

Bottle @ Coronashare #17. With guest star Crazy Joe Davola aka chocolate Joseph. Pours Hazy Golden with bubbles on top. Wood, lime, crackers and spices. Dry, zesty and tart. Works okay. Cool

Bottle thanks to William. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that diminshes quickly. The aroma is lemon zest, oak, breadcrumb. Thin body, key lime pie, nice tartness, light acidity, very good.
