Baltic porter is not an easy style to brew, nor to consume. This traditionaly strong, malty dark lager is a mountain of a beer in its classic form, however we upped the game. Only when turned towards the light can you spot a slight carmine hue, otherwise it’s as black as the bottom of the ocean. Whilst sinking into its depths, you will experience the taste and aroma of dried fruits, chocolate and a wee bit of coffee. The intense flavour pairs with a slight warmth. Not exclusive to winter nights!

RBESG 19 Grand Tasting. Dark brown body, tan head. Sweet aroma, coffee and maltiness. Sweetish coffee and malty notes on a very dry taste in general, chocolate here and there. Quite okay.

Tap at Kandalló Kézműves Pub, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy off white head and some broken lace. The aroma is caramel malt, light liquorice, charcoal, light chocolate dry coffee. The flavour is moderate to light sweet with a smooth, rich, roasty, liqouirce, chocolate palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
