For our 7th edition of Locavore, we have brewed a Dry Irish Stout sourcing the finest Irish ingredients –Wicklow Mountain water, our own hops and Malted Barley from The Malting Company of Ireland, Athgarrett Malt and Craftsman Malt Co. Locavore is a beer that champions local ingredients, terroir and sustainability. Hops: Wicklow Wolf Hop Farm: Cascade, Chinook, Challenger, Bramling Cross, Perle. Malts: MCI Pale, Athgarret Malt, Minch Malt.

This year, we have teamed up with Clara Carbon to help make Locavore 2020, the first Carbon Neutral beer produced in Ireland by offsetting the carbon emitted in producing this beer. With your help, we want to make it the first Carbon Negative beer too, meaning that more carbon is taken out of the air as emitted. Simply buy a can of Locavore, scan the QR code on the label and follow the instructions to help us further offset Locavore 2020’s carbon

Sample (from omhper). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toasted, some pecan nuts, mild roasted notes. Flavour is dark old coffee, roast and some slight nutty elements. A bit UK hoppy bitterness and a bit black currant lurking in there as well. Quite pleasant aftertaste.
