One of the brewery's flagship beers, launched in 1986 in the typical lacquered white bottles and named after the dragon statue on top of the Ghent belfry tower.

From the brewery's website:

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy ruby body with a thick pinkish head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of strawberry syrup, Ribena, Pinot Noir, and orange jelly. Flavour of candy, cherries and toffee apple. Full body with a sticky mouthfeel. Light fizz. Possibly too sweet, but I enjoyed this.

Pours a dark ruby color with a medium and long lasting white head. Smell is sweet, subtle and slightly herbal. Taste is very, very sweet - perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste. Sweet malts, caramel, herbs, spices... If you love your beers sweet, you’ve hit the jackpot with this one. Medium body, medium carbonation, creamy texture. As with the 9000 quadruple, alcohol is mostly present in the finish. Rocking the same 10.5% ABV, this one is sure to warm you up. Overall, this is a quality strong ale. At the end of the day it will come to your personal preference - do you love your beers sweet or not? If you do - don’t miss on this one.

Caramel aroma. Hazy dark ruby with a bid head. Taste is dominated by sweetness and hints of dry berries. Full body. Not long enough finish though.

Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen - had this many times before but never rated until now. Pours a nice dark copper colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma and taste is medium sweet malty cake like, with notes of dark dried fruit, brown sugar, nice toffee sweetness, warming boozy finish, great winter warmer.

Dark brown to black colored, ruby hue, medium beige head, good lasting. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, some spices, quite dark fruity and bit toasted. Taste is very sweet malty caramel, brown sugar, spices, strong dark fruits and bit toasty, low bitter spicy and herbal hops, alcohol is very well hidden. Full bodied, soft carbonation, sticky. Sweetness is a bit over the top but I still love it.
