Collaboration Milkshake Double IPA with our Portland dudes, Great Notion! We've loaded up this juicy hop concoction with Nelson, Citra cyro, Simcoe and a hint of Eureka to bring the dank fire and set the stage for "Northern Lights" terpenes. The result is surprisingly a bright citrus and perfumey honeydew melon character, pairing perfectly with added creaminess from milk sugar and raw oats in the grist.

Can. Cloudy gold beer, short off white head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, light creamy sweetness. Smooth pine and hop spice run through wonderful floral candy citrus and candy tropical fruits. Mango and guava abound but there is pineapple here as well, slightly ripe. Smooth citrus, orange peel, lighter tangerine and lemon, a touch of grapefruit. Smooth spicy piney fruity finish. There is some fuss here about using Turpenes, well if they make all beers taste as good as this I may have to go on the register of turpene addicts!

Pours a hazy, golden yellow, with smallish head. Aroma at first had a sharp, chemical note, but that softened into a very fruity, tropical note. Flavor is fairly sweet, with strong tropical fruit and melon flavors commingling. First few sips tasted a bit like perfume, but it got better. Mouthfeel is soft. There's just a hint of bitterness at the end.
