Sampled @Festival der Bierkulturen K�ln 2018. A almost clear pale golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dry grainy malt, straw, some cereals. Taste of mild sweet smoked malt, bacon, grains. Medium bitterness.

Small, very lightly yellowish tinted head over clear ochre-orange beer. Spicy nose, herbs, 1-4 guaiacol, clove, paint. More paint and clove, very sharp flavours, near chemical. Bit of lemonpeel, finish is sweet. Good carbonation, slick, not very well-bodied. As a caricature of a.... wheatbeer, as many of its features usually refer to Weizen. Very poor, IMO.

Bottle@PBF IX. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is smoked wood, yeast, some caramel, mild herbs and yeast. Flavour is smoked wood, some bitterness, mild herbs as well as some toffee.

Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top. [ As Pax Bräu Oberelsbach Maibock ].ABV: 6.6%. Unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity malt - hops, sweet malt, pale malt, dry, spicy - crispy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140508]

Heller und trockener Antrunk, erst spät etwas getreidig und hell malzig. Später leider weiter behäbig und wenig intensiv, es mangelt an Vollmundigkeit, kaum süß, nicht rund. 8/10/9/8/12/8

100 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, BBE 30.11.2014. Thanks Timo A!
Aroma is rather musty with smoky tones and raw bun dough. Also some apricot. Flavour is somewhat smoky with bun dough, fruity tones and some herbal-like hops. Weird and feels a bit ’raw’.

Golden color, small white head. Light bacon smokey aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish malty, smokey flavor. Some alcohol. Quite personal heller maibock.

Pours yellowish with a smooth head. Aroma of smoked malts, bready notes, spices and yeast. Taste is sweetish, malty and bready with some hints of smoke, leather, ripe fruits and yeast. Finish is malty, mildly smoky and leathery with some ripe fruitness. Okay.

Bottle. cloudy orange amber, big offwhite head. Spicy and fruity sweet, light smoky, good grassy and herbal finish. Good full body, mellow mouthfeel. Great balance between sweet, spicy, smoky and salty, very moreish.
