Bottle from Aldi and drunk at home. Clear amber brown colour lasting beige head. Yes decent enough bitter. I’ve had half a dozen of these bitters now and they are all absolutely fine. Good carbonation, fresh tasting, good hops, balanced, Sweetish malt. Some citrus hops. Decent.

2016 catch up - A standard pale ale that didn’t really stand out from the crowd. Inoffensive and drinkable, but not much else.

Half-pint, cask on 24th April 2017 in the Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire. Had the bottle version before (gave it 3.9 in 2012) and liked it. The cask version was OK too, subtle rather than in your face aromas and flavours. Golden bodied with a white head, light citrus notes with a mild malty base. Easy drinking session beer allround.

Cask at Weatherspoons Eastbourne. Couldn’t be less excitiifn if it tried really. Not bad, some very nice parts to it but just bland. (11/4/17) --- Cask at Captain Cooks, Östersund. I kinda hear you from 2017 Jacky but here I got quite intense apple flavours. It was also very creamy and lively - almost nitro vibes. 2.7 to 2.8. (date unknown). --- Cask at The Rising Sun, West Bagborough. Ofc I've had this before! It is still bland but different to previous times. More grass and slight soap. Probably fresher as we're closer to the source. Kept at 5.6. (22/5/26).

Bottle in W2 - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear copper with a small, foamy head. Lightly toasted grains in the nose, faint leafy hops. Light sweet flavour with caramelly character, more light toast grains, brown bread, more leafy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, further grainy malts, light toast, leaves, faint leathery berries. Enjoyable.
