Rare Breed is the result of Adam Henson’s dedication to sustainable farming and a passion for characterful, artisanal beer. Using the finest Maris Otter malting barley and aromatic Fuggles hops, delicious, fruity Cascade and Amarillo hops and, of course, purest Mendip Spring Water, Rare Breed is a distinctive, clean tasting pale ale with a smooth, citrus twist. A bold, standout beer that’s one of a kind.

Cask at the White Horse, Hertfod on 20th July 2016. Copper with thin off-white scantly-lacing foam. Sweet caramel malts in aroma. Fruitiness in-mouth with sweet malts. Finish is sweet with soft fruits. Light mouthfeel and medium body.

Bottle from Asda. Silk Tork describes this beer perfectly. Amber, with no head and slight carbonation. Weedy malts, some hedgerow fruits, a touch of caramel and moderately bitter finish. Thin mouthfeel and a bit dull all round.

Cask at Bull, Sonning, 18th February 16. Pours clear, aroma is ok, taste is straight forward easy drinking bitter, nice for a session

Cask (Pig & Fiddle, Bath) - Amber in colour. Peach, biscuity malt and citrus in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with biscuity malt, resinous hops and citrus combining to good effect.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading. Amber with a white head. Toffee and fruit, especially orange. Bit of fruit cake. Pretty average bitter.

Cask @ Shakespeares Head (JDW), Holborn WC2. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity dry citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty dry citrus hoppy finish.
