Made with 100% best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls Royce of malts), together with a blend of (never divulged) English hop varieties…Butcombe Bitter is a moreish Mendip masterpiece!

Cask at Little Man, Wettenhall (Cheshire – not listed in RateBeer). Pours a bright golden amber with a medium sized off-white head. Malts to the fore in the aroma with some fruity hints. In the mouth it is sweet with malts dominant, plus a sprinkling of traditional hops and traces of autumn fruits. This is a decent old school bitter.

Pours a clear amber colour with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is malty with some fruity and hoppy notes. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malts, caramel and light fruit flavours with a light bitter finish.
