Bottle, 0.5l. Clear deep copper pour with one finger off-white head. Lasting thin layer, good lacing. Nose pretty much usual for the style, malty with good hop character and some grassy notes. Medium body, softly carbonated. Thick texture, really nice and smooth. Mildly bitter taste with good malt sweetness in the background. Usual aroma, nothing exceptional but nicely balanced and refreshing. Notes of caramel, grainy. Touch of wood in the mouthfeel. Solid hop presence, grassy, some honey notes. Finishes dry with mild bitterness lingering on. Overall, enjoyable and well executed bitter.

Bottled 500ml. -from local Lidl Zagreb as Butcombe Original Beer. Clear dark golden/pale amber coloured, small white head, light malt and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, light fruity, notes of grass and touch of metal with rather dry finish. Ok one.

Butcombe Original Beer. Poured a dark amber body with a tiny white head. Malty light aroma, fruity touches, bread, raisins, bubblegum. Flat, too flat mild taste, but actually interesting, tasty, light dark bread notes, vague bitterish herbal touch, cherry, creamy. A proper bitter really. Nothing too special, but I see no reason to be harsh about it. Unlike some of the others...

2016 catch up - A good honest bitter and one that I would drink again. Malt, hops and the expected mouthfeel. Some farmyard, biscuit and a good level of carbonation.
