Draft 4 oz pour at the Fremont release event. So glad to try this version, one I thought I’d be missing out on. Clean, dark copper pour with a quick fading head. Aroma is very similar to the regular version. Smooth bourbon, brown sugar, raisin. I was a little worried about how much smoke came through, until I tasted it. Dominant smokey, charred wood notes throughout. Tobacco, anything sweet is covered by the peat. An incredible sipper here. I love these two Barleywine for different reasons. One of a kind beer here. Fantastic.
