At Hopishop 2017. Aroma of malt, yeast and ripe fruit. Taste has dusty malt, yeast, ripe fruit and raisin. Not bad, just very boring.

Dubbel meets java-bomb. Massive coffee notes, earthy and slightly acidic, with a hearty amount of roast on the finish. Dubbel side comes across more restrained, adding a sweet, dark fruit undertone that pairs well with the coffee front. Finishes semidry and smooth, the java balancing out any lingering candi sugar cloyness. Tasty.

Growler from Decatur Ale Yeah! Black pour, with a small, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is immediately chocolate and espresso, with some notes of dates, cloves, and black cherries that come forward as it warms. Very sweet, with a nice, mellow, savory spice. Medium body, syrupy, with a little graininess. This is a nice, sweet, and coffee-forward beer. The coffee is pleasant, but the Belgian dubbel notes are in the background. Could be more complex, but still a tasty beer.
