Brewed exclusively for Restaurant De Haas in Elburg. Aroma of bready malt, strong floral notes, hint of caramel, hint of fruits, some hoppy notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Supposedly based on a recently discovered 200-yeard old recipe. Either way, itβs a decent beer.

On tap at Restaurant and Partycentrum De Haas, Elburg, Netherlands, sat outside on a gloriously sunny Tuesday 25th September 2018 after a 21km cycle ride from our campsite on Gelderdijke between Zalk and Hattem. A good fruity bite, there is a touch of apricot but with a little honey and syrup. Good but a touch simplistic, I wanted to see bit more spice. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
