Hoppy Table Bier

A meaningless task, a fruitless endeavor, a sleeveless errand - we’ve had our fair share, but this isn’t one of them.

Introducing “Sleeveless Errand”, a Hoppy Table Bier brewed with malted wheat, flaked oats and well hopped with East Kent Goldings and Saaz hops. Fermented warm with an expressive Belgian yeast strain, this beer evokes notes of bright citrus, earthy spice, with a snappy herbal finish (4.5% ABV).

Can from the brewery, via Sergey
Pale blond colour, cloudy, with compact head. Mild aroma of hops and of white bread. Bone dry mouthfeel, it's on the weak side, but expected; the yeast character is quite strong, spicy; delicate hopping, with citrus peel character, and balanced bitterness. It gets chalky in the finish though.
Interesting beer for the summer, very tasty.

12oz @ home shared with wife. Appearance: murky pale golden with a white head. Aroma: a bit peppery, Belgian yeasts, classic Belgian saison. Taste: along the same lines with a long hoppy bitterness. Overall: it's a well-made Belgian Saison and if you like one, you will love it.

355mL can, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Nose brings out plenty of floral hops, farmhouse notes, and gentle fruitiness. Flavour is crisp and dry, expressing the Belgian yeast very nicely, along with crisp crackery notes, and some nice hoppy bitterness. Crisp and quenching, with well-calibrated bitterness and a very dry finish. Excellent -- very well-made.

Poured from the tap. Hazy yellow with white head. Banana, lemon, yeast on the nose. Taste of grain with mild hop notes, dry-ish finish.

Opaque and pale yellow, with a frothy head. There’s some decent citrusy hop on the nose, but also a metric fucktonne of pedio. Now before I get all poopypantsed about it, I will say that the pedio drops off on the palate, and it has a fairly clean finish, sweet malts balanced by moderate bitterness. That big hop on the nose is also gone, too, though, so this beer is a big show for the impression and then settles in.

Very nice foam on hazy yellow body. Lots of yeasty banana and wheat grain on the nose, maybe some soft peach. Flavour is banana, sharp hops. Full and oily but there's an odd cloying aftertaste that doesn't work. Still quite enjoyable.
