Can at mum and dad's, from Nisa Extra Newry, 25/01/23. Irn-Bru orange with a white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is orange peel, grass, toasted malts, tangerine, floral notes. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, hint of grapefruit, citric tinged straw, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness. It's fine ... lacks gop presence and depth of flavour but overall clean drinking and refreshing.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Relatively weak, citrusy hoppy and minimally oaty, malty aroma, hints of lemon, lemon peel, a touch of marmalade, minimally waxy overtones. Taste is bitter, zesty, citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon zest, orange zest, maramalade, a minimally waxy and chalky touch, dry, oaty malty basis. Minimally oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Not really NE style; neither really hazy nor juicy, solely citrusy fruity but not tropical fruity (not a necessary condition but quite typical) - OK IPA.

Tap. Not sure if the Brett is intended or not but for me it's a good type of infection. Basically Orval with a hit of tropical fruit. Is it coincidence that it's also 6.2% ?
