Wow, unlike anything I've had before. Smells like bourbon-soaked licorice raisins. Tastes like.. a lot. Sweet for sure, sherry and raisins, bourbon, wood, salty licorice. Boozy, but remarkably easy drinking. How do they do this?! A good one to celebrate. This stuff is true madness.

Bottle, a bit less than a year old. Pours pitch black, not much carbonation but some light brown foam on top still. Smoke, some leather in the nose, Just about the right amount of it. You can feel some booze but it does not bother. Especially when you have 18% abv beer. Tastes sweet, warming and fruity even. Alcohol there but well balanced, liquorice and sweet chocolate cake. Having this after Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and well, it can compete with that, totally. Well done Lehe!

Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Taste: Roasted malt, pretty sweet, mocha, hints of chocolate, nuts, plums, burned brown sugar. Bit boozy, warming mouthfeel. Sticky palate, sirupy. Going towards a nice fruity port. Full body, below average carbonation. Wow! Great imperial stout.

Bottle. Almost black color. Strong aroma of cognac and port wine with prunes, mighty, oak. Taste: very strong, cognac, vanilla, chocolate, port wine, very warming, excellent.

Bottle. Nose of berries, chocolate, wood, booze. Black with lace. Sweet vanilla flavor, bourbon, wood, berries, brown sugar and chocolate. SMooth and big. Tasty.

Sampled from bottle at Floris’s leaving tasting. Black with no head. Big sweet and dark roasted. Prunes, raisans. Big sweet, light bitter. Bottle shared for Floris’s Leaving Beers at Gekke Geit. Dark brown with a ring beige head. Aroma of rich caramel malt, chocolate, toffee, caramel, some overripe dark fruit and dried fruits. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
