On tap at Matchplay with Matt for March Madness! Deeply hazy, bright yellow, nice sparkle, ample head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is wheat and spices. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Not complex but good strength, look, feel.

OK, so I avoided buying this since I did taste it 11 years ago, but now I come to find out that its been a new recipe since 2019. Last time I rated the old recipe, I gave it a 5.8 so lets see whats up with the differences. From a bottle, this is a nice clean looking slightly cloudy lighter pale with just a tinge of orangish yellow. Decent nose with a tad of processed olfactory. Nice head that fades after a minute. First taste is rather mild and civilized. Thankfully, no wheat ale attributes so far. Some processed feel in this as well, a little dull. Good co2 level, starting to get some orange peel in the middle. Compared to the really good wits of the old country, this needs a little more culture. It just aint in the same category as du Bocq Blanche de Namur, Hoegaarden Wit Blanche nor La Trappe Wit Trapiste. A little lower on the list. Probably more like Saranac Prism, Samuel Adams White or Brewdog Wit space. Went down pretty good tho. Still, according to my memory and ratings, have to say the old cold snap was a bit better. Sorry Sammy! Don't fix it if it aint broke.

I'm at a ski resort. What do you want? Murky orange, cloudy white head. Nose smells a little skunky before you get dried citrus peel and potpourri. Flavor has hints of grains of paradise (left over from summer ale) before giving way to the citrus. Flabby finish. Fine.
