Stone Dayfall Belgian White

Brewed with Bergamot orange peel and coriander

Brewed with Bergamot orange peel and coriander, Stone Dayfall Belgian White is quite possibly the finest beer ever created for drinking in the sunshine. While we may be known historically for our IPAs, our brewers have been brewing incredible Belgian-style beers for years, and they have a few Great American Beer Festival medals to show for them. This beer is brewed to be loved by Stone diehards as well as new fans who may prefer to stay away from double IPAs and imperial stouts.

355ml bottle. Hazy, dark yellow-ish to orangey, golden colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, fruity, spicy and floral aroma, notes of orange peel, bergamot, some coriander, wheaty malty background. Taste is slightly dry, minimally sweet, spicy, citrusy fruity, slightly floral, widely disguised wheaty malty basis, notes of lemon peel, orange peel, hints of coriander with a minimally soapy touch, some bergamot. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Felicitous composition with very pleasing nose, light, disadvantageous shift of accent in taste, refreshing, drinkable - very nice summer beer.

Bottle, 0.355l. Hazy orange pour, thin soapy white layer on top, minimal lacing as it goes down. Refreshing on the nose, fruity, citruses, tropical notes, coriander. Light body, medium to high carbonation, lively. Nice mouthfeel and texture, soft, moderately chewy, refreshingly prickly. Balanced taste, sweet and sour, mild tart, subtle bitterness. Refreshing. Aroma follows the nose, fruity and herbal mix. Orange peel, lemons, tropical notes. Herbs and grass, coriander, mint. Subtle earthy notes. Short lasting finish. Refreshing and easily drinkable.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, dense white head. Aroma: Wheat malt, dried orange peel, yeasty notes. Taste: Wheat malt, yeasty notes, (dried) orange peel, orange, lime notes, spicy coriander. Hints of bread and toast. Very smooth mouthfeel. Quite spicy and quite strong orange peel compared to most other beers of this style I've had. Very long lasting finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Very nice.

Pour is a cloudy gold with a average white head. Aroma is a big time orange peel. Flavor is more orange peel and clover honey. Finish is some coriander and spice. Decent beer. Not totally traditional to the style but this was taste enough on it's own.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a large foamy/creamy white head. Aroma of Bergamot and orange zest. Med body at least. Flavor of Bergamot (love Lord Grey tea) and orange zest. Light malt. Not exactly bitter but about the same thing. Extremely tasty.
