Tap at Ale Arsenal. Pours black with small, rich brown head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is dusted chocolate and chili. Slight vanilla. Smooth barrel finish with the 13% not terribly noticeable.

Bottle at home, quite lively. Pours black with chunks, nose is chocolate, cherry, coffee, vanilla, banana, brandy, oak, taste is chewy, caramel, chocolate fudge, juicy cherry, tart, creamy banana, rich.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, oak, vanilla and caramel. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, coffee, oak and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle shared at DACBE share. Thanks for sharing. Pours a pitch black with almost no head with visible coconut flakes floating. Big coconut aromas with cacao nib, roasted malt and light maple notes. Smooth and decadent on the palate, but balanced. Not overly sweet. Good roasted malt character with oak and toasted vanilla from the barrels. Lingering coconut and bourbon on the finish.

Draught @ Other Half, Brooklyn. Sweet, sticky, syrupy and roasty with loads of coconut, dessert wine notes, sherry, cognac, French oak, syrup and toffee. Heavy and complex.
