Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 14C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium caramel-like malt aroma with slight toasty notes. faint sulphur-like background note. APPERANCE: dark amber color and clear. medium-low beige head with medium-low to low retention. TASTE: medium-low malt flavor with a caramel character. medium yeasty flavor (uncooked bread). medium bitterness with an almost dry and slightly toasty finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low to low carbonation. OVERALL: a scottish export with ok aroma but with an excessive yeasty presence on flavor that overpowers the malt.
