Bottle. As brown as possible without turning all black. Close to none haze. A small beige head on top, leaving some curtains. Lightly burnt aroma with dark licorice, hints of burnt down bonfire and coffee grit, and some prunes and brown sugar. It's full to medium bodied, silky and nicely carbonated, and not too sweet on the palate. There's a good bitterness going on, but it's the dark malts that runs the show. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, burnt notes, some ash and a touch of brown sugar in the flavor. Lasting malt driven finish with a good bitterness. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, lactose, caramel hint of oats. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long chocolate, roasted and lactose finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft
