Bottle picked up from Kaufland, Ingolstadt and consumed at home Sunday 18th April 2021 listening to Jon Hopkins - Immunity, we had a Moussaka for tea. Pours gold almost clear but there is a tiny bit of haze a white head sits atop. Smooth moutheel but sprightly bitterness interplays with a solid malty body. Great hoppiness, clean tasting, fruity, citrussy, well balanced, really nice Maibock. Like this.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before December 2021. Almost clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, gently grassy-spicy, slightly fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass, light grains and just a touch of honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of grains, fresh grass, lemon peel and a touch of honey, followed by a short, gently bitter, fairly grassy-spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Extremely well-balanced, refreshing and grassy Maibock, not very typical but really tasty.

330 ml bottle. Unclear golden with a big fluffy head. Grassy hops, hay, pale malts, bread, hops extract, lemon. Dry hoppy bitterness, light malty sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy bittersweet finish. Surprisingly good, but rather an Imperial Pils than Maibock.

Bitburger Maibock, Fläschchen von REWE, Butzbach. - Dunkles Goldgelb, klar. Gut! (8.4.2021.)

04-04-21 // 330ml bottle. The Winterbock was better. Zhis has the distinct bitburger aroma to it with a mild citrus like hop aroma. Okay.

Bottle. Clear dark yellow sporting a nice white head. Aroma of floral hops, lemons, grapefruit, grass, hay and some herbs. Taste follows aroma plus grains and malts. A moderate sweetness turns into citric bitterness. Medium carbonation. There is for sure some alcoholic presence but it also feels kinda light at the same time. A rather green and „fresh“ tasting Maibock. Yea, it did grow on me and I enjoy drinking it, but I also think it’s a tad bit too citrussy hoppy while missing the malty punch I look for in a Maibock.

Slightly more hopped version. Strong yellow beer, clean and crisp. But not so crushable due to the strength. Well made. Graeff hamburg

bottle from local Edeka. Clear, shining golden yellow, tall white head, lovely hop aroma. Smooth and velvety from the start, intensive malty base with just theright sweetness to support the (pleasant) massive, punchy bitter hoppy goodness, aromatic with herbal, grassy and citrusy hints. Bitter-sweet overall character. Very nice indeed!
