Bottle from the source. Deep dark brown pour, beige head that quickly recedes to a thin layer. Aroma's: vinous, sour fruit, cherry. Retronasal it's fruity, sourish, sour cherries, woody (even though there's no wood involved), vinous. Flavour is light moderate sweet & bitter with a light sour twist. Medium bodied. Long finish, light bitter, light sour. Much more interesting than the usual Naeckte beers.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before November 2022. Slightly hazy, dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, raisins, cherry, marzipan, some vanilla and a touch of molasses. Rather sweet, malty, gently fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, raisins, cherry, marzipan and traces of clove, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly warming, minimally tartish finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant beer, nicely balanced and quite complex. Way better than their beers a few years ago.
