Den første (IPA) India Pale Ale blev brygget i London omkring år 1800. Øltypen med ekstra bitterhed og meget mere humlearoma har holdt sin popularitet i Storbritannien helt op til vores tid, men da amerikanske mikrobryggere tog stilarten til sig i 1980’erne, blev kærligheden til øltypen verdensomspændende.
Vi har brygget en IPA inspireret af de første amerikanske West Coast IPA’s, med masser af Centennial, Citra og Mosaic humle dyrket i Yakima Valley i det nordvestlige USA.
Signatur IPA smager fantastisk til en god burger og sammen med asiatiske krydrede madretter.

Fles gedeeld door Koenzie, het is een troebel oranje bruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van hop en grapefruit. De smaak is vol fruitig, grapefruit en hoppig.

0,5 l bottle from Meny, Blåvand. BB 25.03.2027. Slightly cloudy bright copper in the glass with a more than one finger foamy head. Looks good. Intensive sweet floral citrus aroma, malty with resin, pine and honey. Taste starts on the more malty side, increasing resin, fruity, some herbs, soft but present bitterness. Low toffee and some yeast in the background. Long lasting aftertaste. Nice one!

Bottled. A cloudy dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, spices, pine, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, hops, spices, citrus fruits, and pine needles, leading to a bitter finish.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! (as Signatur IPA). -- Hazy amber, small head. Fruity, grainy nose with strawberries and earty spice. Sweet with medium body an dwell rounded mouthfeel Butterscotch and herbal spice. Long bitter finish.

Sample (had as Signatur IPA, thanks fonefan!). Amber colour, small white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, grassy, mild herbal and some mild nectary tones. Flavour is floral, fruity, some mild sweet malts and a bit toffee tones with some mild bready tones. Nice bitterness in the finish.

ABV: 6.0%. Hazy medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, candied citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, caramel - sweet malt, fruity hops, candied citrus - dried fruit, hop pills bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20240223]
