The Amarillo we’ve been getting from @crosbyhops is really fantastic, so we decided to make a beer to showcase its incredible citrus quality. Brewed with lots of oats and a generous helping of Loral hops in the kettle for a depth of bitter floral character and balance. We left more residual body in this beer in an attempt to coax that classic Orange Crush quality we love in Amarillo. Juxtaposed in almost every way with our Rolodex, this is a great example of the other side of the spectrum for American Pale Ales.

Can. Dull haze but lots of head. Notes of tangerine, grapefruit and papaya. Similar palate, with moderate bitterness, a bit of dusty yeastiness, and a sweet pale malt accent. The mouthfeel is fairly thick, which I'm not crazy about. But there's some good elements here.

Can from the brewery, via Sergey
Blond colour, cloudy to murky. The aroma is impressive, it's tropical and pungent, similar to Nelson Sauvin hops. Smooth mouthfeel, dry; it has a white bread base (the oats), just slightly chalky and astringent, and then an explosion of tropical hops, with plenty of zesty citrus too. Excellent.

12oz @ home. Appearance: murky a bit dirty golden with a white head. Aroma: dank, earthy, juicy tropical fruits with some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, very juicy, full-bodied. Overall: good one.

355mL can, pours a cloudy, opaque, dull orangey yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is very fruity, with lots of tropical stone fruits, moderate dank hops, and just enough bready malt to back. Flavour is both wonderfully dank and fruity in the best possible combination. There's dank, almost pot-like hops upfront, complemented beautifully by tropical stone fruits. There's not a whole lot of bitterness. Thankfully there is no chalkiness at all. If all hazies could be like this -- and the other Studio hazies -- I'd be sold. This is excellent.

April 04, 2021 (re-rate): Poured from the tap. Cloudy yellow with white head. Not sure if this is different keg or what, but I’m getting more dankness and topical hop notes. Chalk is still there, but minimal. Quite nice (raising rating by 0.2) March 28, 2021 (original rating - 7/3/8/3/15=3.6): Poured from the tap. Cloudy yellow with white head. Slightly muted tropical hops, some resin on the finish, subtle dankness, and some chalk.

Hazy yellow body and okay foam. Nice chalky hops aroma, hints of pineapple. Flavour is nice vehetal hops, piney guava, chalky finish. Dry and a little wet makes it refreshing. Hitting a few good marks.
