Our Belgian Tripel has been aged in Chardonnay Oak Barrels and keg conditioned to help add another layer of complexity to our Rue de la Soif. A classic, yeast driven, Belgian style that showcases a complex bouquet of spices, fruits and light alcohol notes. For such a high alcohol beer, this drinks surprisingly smooth.

On tap at R & B, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of esters, with some bubblegum, Belgian yeast, and floral notes. Flavour is quite estery and alcoholic, with floral notes, alcohol, some bubblegum, and candi sugar. Not getting the yeast expression to make this a convincing authentic tripel, but at least it's not sickly sweet. Needs work.

Soft yellow body and minimal foam. Odd meld of grapey cider on the nose, soft wine barrel. Flavour is bourbon barrel cider character, sharp and fruity, grain aftertaste. Somewhere between a bourbon infused cider and a blonde ale, and it's working surprisingly well.
