An experiment in changing the definition of what beer can be. A blend of beers aged in oak wine barrels for an average of 20 months. Refermented with 100kg of foot-stomped whole cluster Gamay grapes that underwent carbonic laceration for 10 days.
After 2 months of skin contact the blend has picked up tons of fruit character from the grapes. Notes of red berries, pepper, and cherry complement the barrel character and moderate acidity. Not bottle conditioner. Intentionally almost no carbonation. Enjoy at clear temperature in a stemmed glass.

Very nice deep red body, slightly muddy, and uncarbonated with zero foam. The aroma is soft brett yeast, easy biscuit, deep chewy syrupy grape and cherry juice moderated by some rustic sourness. Flavour is deep and rich cherry layered under milk chocolate mousse, soft caramel latté. Full and lingering, crisp and saccharine. Bold, round, beautiful.

750mL bottle, pours a clear ruby red with a tiny white head. Nose brings out deep red grapes, some grape must, red wine barrels, and a touch of oak. Flavour is soft yet rich, with loads of deep red grapes, light oak, lots of red wine, and a little alcohol. Really lovely blend. The grapes are expressed beautifully and the barrels are appropriately dominant. There's a musty, slightly tannic grape skin character that is felt more and more. The higher ABV is only slightly felt. Essentially flat carbonation that is fitting. Excellent.
