650mL bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out the grand marnier and cognac barrels upfront, with a bit of roast, and a hint of dark fruits. Flavour follows accordingly, with very nice silky liqueur character—nice blend of the barrels. There's a bit of dark fruit and caramel, and a touch of roast. Not the most complex beer, but it's well-constructed.

Deep black body and modest foam, boozy cognac and vague grand marnier on the nose but it's a bit messy. Flavour is good rye, coffee, very soft cognac liqueur notes that I doubt I would notice if not told about it. Could be a little more crisp, still some nice elements here.
