Regions of Hope BC are shrouded in darkness during the autumn and winter months. The sun doesn't reach over the mountaintops and the cloud cover is pervasive. Our schwarzbier celebrates the darkness of roasted malt and the enigmatic Pacific Northwest.

Black, small tan head. Pleasant light roast nose. Similar palate, prickly, medium hop bitterness. Dry malt notes, light alcohol heat

Pours very dark with foamy tan head. Some roasted or burnt malt. Pretty dry in the mouth. Not bad, but not terribly complex either.

Dark near black colour. Some roastiness, dry mouthfeel, no bread, some ashes. Not a Schwarz , but drinkable.

Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Toast and some cocoa. Cocoa, coconut and toast. Quite decent actually.

Good dark brown body and decent foam, smooth and crisp biscuity molasses on the nose, hints of chocolate syrup and coffee. Flavour is good smooth chocolate syrup, dark malts. good carbonation, reasonably full. Enjoyable.
