bottle from Bierzwerg. Slightly hazy pale golden colour with a mid-sized head. Fruity-malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty background with hints of berries and fruit (rather shy). If I didn’t know it was gooseberry, I wouldn’t have guessed. Nevertheless a nice beer.

(bottle) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Discreet aroma of moderately sweet pale malt with a shy grainy touch, mildly floral and subtle lemon-fruity notes. Slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malty and slightly citrus-fruity, accompanied by shy floral and spicy accents; mildly acidic and sweet finish with a tinge of lime and spices. 29.XI.09

Bottle. Poured hazy grain yellow with a thin white head. Aroma had notes of malts and berries. Flavor was malty with a bit of tartness from the berries.

Bottle Poured cloudy yellow with thin white head. Aroma of wheat and fruit. Tart gooseberry flavour with a bit of yeasty wheatiness. Tart almost sour finish, but not vomitous sour like a sour ale. Finish lasted a long time.

50cl bottle from Sainsburys, Edinburgh. Amber gold with a thin white head; spicy fruit aroma; sweet fruit flavours, possibly gooseberry, with a dry finish. Refreshing.

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour with no head and moderate carbonation. Sweet malt aroma, with some citrus fruit and grainy wheat. Flavour had a lot of wheat, some summer fruits and a dryish finish. A bit subdued but drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty citrus aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty citrus flavor with some hints of berries. Has a fruity wheaty citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

330 ml bottle from BevMo Salinas. Nose is whole wheat muffins with a light berry note and some floral hoppiness. Hazy gold with a small yellow tinged head. Flavor is very medicinal (bog myrtle or meadowsweet?) very light menthol hint with a wheaty base and light berry note. A tiny bit of bitterness seems to emerge from the medcinal quality in the finish which seems to sooth my throat as a very weak lozenge would.
